The G8 Youth Summit of 2013 is being held in London from 24-28 June. This Summit is being organised by the Youth Diplomatic Service, the official UK partner of The International Diplomatic Engagement Association (The IDEA).
The G20 Youth Summit of 2013 is being held in St. Petersburg from 18-21 June. This Summit is being organised by the J8 Club, the official Russian partner of The International Diplomatic Engagement Association (The IDEA).
The IDEA is a collective of twenty leading not-for-profit, youth-led organisations from around the world committed to putting young people at the heart of global decision-making through innovative, open and inspiring debate.
As South African delegates, we were chosen to represent our country by South African Youth for International Diplomacy (SAYID), the official SA partner of The IDEA. This organisation is one of the many projects which have been run under the umbrella body of Projekt23. This Non-Profit Organisation aims at creating environmental awareness and promoting socio-economic development through entrepreneurship among impoverished communities with special focus on women and youth.
